The UP Alumni Association held its 42nd Alumni Institute, organized by UPAA-Davao and UP Mindanao, on October 14-15, 2016, at the UP Mindanao campus in Mintal, Davao City.
The Regional Alumni Institute (RAI) had for its theme “Panahon ng Pagbabago, Pagtulungan Natin Ito” in line with the program of the country’s new reform-minded president, Rodrigo R. Duterte, the first Philippine president from Mindanao and former Davao City mayor.
The first day, October 14, was spent on a campus tour of UP Mindanao and fellowship. The morning of the second day, October 15, was devoted to a special joint meeting of the UPAA with UPAA chapters, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 nn., at the Lorenzo Hall.
The RAI symposium began at 2:00 p.m. at the Atrium, with UP Mindanao Chancellor Dr. Sylvia Concepcion welcoming the attendees. UP System President Dr. Alfredo E.
