The University of the Philippines Alumni Association has created a four-step procedure for chapter accreditation:

  1. Interested chapters can go to the U.P. Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) for endorsement of application to U.P.A.A.
  2. They can also apply directly to U.P.A.A. office located at the Bahay ng Alumni.
  3. Applicants must accomplish the following requirements: the chapter’s Constitution and By-Laws, list of current officers and members (minimum membership of 25)
  4. Pay an accreditation fee of P1,000.00 for Philippine-based chapters, and $40.00 for foreign-based chapters.

U.P.A.A. will assess the said requirements and will be awarding an accreditation certificate to successful applicants.
