Greetings from the UPAA Board of Directors!

The UPAA, founded on April 2, 1913, is celebrating its Centennial or 100th Anniversary in 2013 – a milestone we have eagerly looked forward to. To add luster and make the 12-month observance of this landmark event a truly memorable one, we have adopted as Centennial theme the expression:

“Bagong Siglo. Bagong Sigla.”

Thus, as our first 100 years come to a close and a new cycle begins, we reaffirm the UPAA MISSION: “To lead the U.P. Alumni in concerted support of the University’s mandate as the national university of the Philippines” –encapsulated in our new rallying cry: “All as ONE to keep UP No. 1.”

It will be in solid keeping with our VISION of the “UPAA as a broad-based, united and strong body of fully supportive alumni members willing to commit their resources towards the attainment of its objectives.”

It is a singular joy and honor for all UPAA members in our generation to witness and participate in our 100th Year Anniversary celebration – capped by the grand Centennial Alumni Reunion and Homecoming on June 23, 2013.
May we, as one, continue to be a worthy instrument for our Alma Mater to reap even more honors in the field of higher education, not only in the country, but in the global community as well.

May God continue to smile upon us and the UPAA!
